NEOPAK AGRICULTURAL PACKAGING PRODUCTS
As the steadfast supplier of first-rate, cost-effective corrugated packaging solutions, Neopak focuses on the specific needs of various market sectors. As an agricultural customer, we will establish a close working relationship with you, developing packaging solutions that work best in your supply chain.
Optimised for palletisation, transport, ease of product packing, display, breathability, stacking and load strength, and more, our corrugated solutions are designed to meet all your needs.
We offer packaging solutions for citrus, deciduous, subtropical and local produce markets. Our punnets, trays and cartons offer open tops, plus double-end stacking lugs for improved carton stacking or triangular corners for improved stacking strength.
We also offer hand- or machine-erected packaging. Pack-house staff can easily assemble the hand-erected options. All our punnets, trays and cartons are appropriate for supermarket displays and their graphics can be printed on either white or kraft outer liners.
Our direct involvement in target markets and our drive to continually learn about global markets and cold-chain characteristics have placed us at the forefront of corrugated agricultural packaging.
At Neopak, we focus on high-quality, cost-effective corrugated packaging solutions, suitable for both local and international markets. This focus is underpinned by efficiently and accurately providing a range of innovative carton designs.
Our product-focused approach ensures we trial and test new designs prior to offering them to market. Our development process entails various predefined processes, including idea generation, formulation and testing at our world-class research and development facility, Neopak R&D. We treat fruit types on an individual basis, as each has its own characteristics and requirements.
Following our development process, and initial product approval, complete cold-chain trials are undertaken, and products are tracked to their final destination under standard cold-chain conditions. Our product development initiative has been supplemented over the years by supplying our clients with visual palletising protocols and guidelines.
Our state-of-the-art tracing lets us follow our clients’ shipments to the world’s major markets. Once shipments are traced, we compile a report and supply feedback to our clients individually. Learnings from these reports are used by our development stream and applied to new projects.
Advanced and Bespoke Printing and Artwork
Neopak agricultural packaging provides product protection and brand enhancement through innovative structural designs and state-of-the-art printing.
Markets are becoming increasingly discerning, especially those with their own unique carton artwork. Neopak has established a library of various artworks of most South African fruit exporters. They are updated on a seasonal basis to ensure we stay on top of changes in local legislation, marking requirements and export standards. Neopak is actively connected to all relevant governing bodies such as DAFF/DoA and PPECB.
Neopak looks at the entire agricultural supply-chain process, and develops fit-for-purpose packaging solutions. As a result, our corrugated cartons optimise packing, palletisation and the entire value chain.
Stringent Compliance with Industry Bodies
Neopak is a member of most agricultural industry bodies and associations, specific to our identified market segments. Involvement in this arena opens doors for active and responsible value-add to the industry.

NEOPAK PROFESSIONAL PACKAGING PRODUCTS
Neopak packaging solutions include corrugated cartons and trays, which transport, protect and promote some of Southern Africa’s most prominent branded products, destined for local and foreign markets. Our professional products offer appropriate solutions for the beverage, perishable foods, non-perishable foods, home care and general trade markets.
We focus on high-quality, cost-effective corrugated packaging solutions, suitable for both local and international markets. This focus is underpinned by efficiently and accurately providing a range of innovative carton designs.
Our product-focused approach ensures we trial and test new designs prior to offering them to the market. Once we are confident that the product fulfils all the criteria, it is then commercialised, and defined as a standard offering.
Each standard design first goes through a stringent development process, and once commercialised, it is rolled out to different markets and customers.
Current standardised designs include:
RSC – Regular Slotted Case
Keep it simple
A regular slotted case is the most basic type of closed packaging. Designs can be created for manual applications or tailored to address specific needs for high-speed, high-precision automated packing lines where our patented Evogen design is of great value.
Affordable and versatile
Trays are cost-effective product carriers ideal for self-supporting products like bottles or cans. A tray relies heavily on the ability of the primary packs to carry the load palletised on top of it. It serves as a carrier and is designed to be used in manual packing lines or sophisticated automated packing lines. Hand-folded with self-lock as well as machine-assembled with or without glue options are available. The tray product is available with the state-of-the-art Neotechnik machine range.
Pads and Layer Pads
Versatility, stability and quality in pads.
Neopak is the manufacturer of choice for corrugated or solid board laminated layer pads. These layer pads have a wide variety of use from saving space to protecting your valuable product. The layer pads can be manufactured in various sizes for automated or manual packing lines. Layer pads offer stability to products with a small footprint that need to be palletised and can be used for large bottle or can products.
Cost-effective and flexible
Wrap-around-style boxes are used on fully automated packing lines where self-supporting primary products need to be packed into fully closed boxes. These boxes are designed to be more cost-effective carriers than RSC boxes.
